The 321 stainless steel wire is a titanium stabilized basic austenitic (304) stainless steel. The steel species is insensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating in the carbide precipitation range of 425-850 °C. 321 is suitable for applications in the temperature range up to about 900 ° C, combining high strength, anti-fouling and phase stability and resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.
